Part of the process of buying a home is hiring an Inspector to come and check the current state of your future investment. In other words, this person will tell you what needs to be fixed so you can decide if you want this house or not. When my wife and I bought our current house, one of the biggest problems was the oudoor electrical installation. The previous owner was running power (120V) throughout the wooden fence with audio/speaker cable. I’m speaking non grounded, no gfci protected outlets, and several light bulbs in the perimeter.

Naturally one of the first things we did when we finally moved here, was to remove this fire hazard. Then the question was, do we want to pay an electrician to run a proper install? Or do we want to try with solar lights? Previously my experience with solar lights was kind of “meh”. Not very bright, the battery never lasts, the solar panel wasn’t efficient. At the same time, electricians in the US are expensive, and in reality, how often am I going to turn on these lights?

That’s when I decided to research options on Amazon, I read as many reviews as possible, until I found these amazing lights:

The Aootek 182 Led Solar Outdoor motion sensor lights are just perfect, one of the modes of operation is called Smart brightness control where the light stays on all night and turns brighter when it detects motion. The best part is that the battery really holds the charge, so unless you are constantly walking by the light triggering the motion sensor, the light stays on all night. This is what I call, a modular investment – I don’t need to buy all the lights right away, I can buy one each month, and slowly get all of my fence covered.

Are you interested in solar powered lights? Would you buy this product for your home?
